FREE SHIPPING IN CANADA ON ALL HARVIA HEATERS*
Whether you are adding a home sauna in Vancouver, building a backyard sauna in Burnaby or North Vancouver, or finishing a cabin sauna in Whistler or on the Sunshine Coast, the right heater makes the difference. We supply the complete Harvia range with free shipping to the nearest carrier terminal in Vancouver; residential or curbside delivery is available at extra cost.
Vancouver’s mild but damp climate means saunas are often used for recovery and wellness year-round. Many Lower Mainland homes and townhouses have limited space, so compact wall-mounted heaters are especially popular. Use our sauna heater calculator or send us your room size for a recommendation.
For most indoor saunas in Vancouver, an electric heater is the practical choice:
Electric heaters need a dedicated 240 V circuit and a licensed electrician. In the City of Vancouver electrical permits are issued by the city; in most other parts of BC, by Technical Safety BC. In a strata building, check your bylaws and get approval before adding a sauna. Size the heater at roughly 1 kW per cubic metre of room volume – see our size guide.
For off-grid cabins, Gulf Island properties and mountain retreats, a Harvia wood-burning sauna stove delivers authentic heat without electrical service. The Harvia M3 fits small saunas; the Pro 20, Legend and Cilindro wood stoves suit larger rooms. Note that Metro Vancouver regulates residential wood burning, so check current local rules before installing a wood stove in the city – outside the region, requirements vary by municipality.
Always follow the clearances in the manual, use a sauna-rated chimney and ask your insurer whether a WETT inspection is required. Browse Harvia wood stoves.
